I am thrilled to offer social distance-friendly Hula Hoop or Fire Dancing lessons outdoors at a park or via coaching through Zoom. In addition you will be able to book private backyard Fire Dance performances for your families’ live entertainment! I am presently located near Whitecourt, AB and am willing to travel within a couple hours for an additional fee. Since I am isolated in a cabin and will make no contact between events you can be at ease with my presence in your yard. Fire restrictions may apply. Please reach out through my contact page and I will happily elevate the ambiance at your next small family function!
Stepping back from a highly digital approach to managing my entertainer persona has brought a greater balance to how I intend to conduct business and develop art moving forward. However this website is highly valuable in offering a connection point to which we can create a flow-aligned entertainment exchange! Please allow me to open the flood-gates and take your requests for collaboration so a breath of fresh air can be brought into our events. Performers, students and event coordinators alike will receive a transparent breakdown of my services in the coming weeks, thank you for witnessing and assisting on this journey!
Dear friends, fans, clients, interested parties, and everyone!
I am presently beginning a journey away from Alberta and towards sunnier climates in Central and South America. This journey will keep me from participating in any classes or events in Calgary and area for a few months as my return is unscheduled and open to the flow of life. I have contacts to direct you towards who may be available for your functions and lessons so please continue to reach out and I will happily connect you when I am able to do so (email will be best here as my phone will no longer be useful). I do wish you the best luck with all your magical happenings and I cannot wait to return to the fold and co-create once again, but for now, adios!
It was a true honour to work with so many talented fire dancers to create this spectacle. I’m in the striped pants!
Dear fellow hoop enthusiast!
SpinMilk is an annual hoop/poi/staff/etc/flow workshop in Edmonton, AB executed by the talented and beautiful Carla Snow and Nina Infinity. I received excellent instruction from Carla, Nina, Megan Baird and Chantal Dings in hooping; FloWarrior helped me build a basic foundation in staffing and folding fans; Jay Hale and Oaken demonstrated poi techniques I’ve been lacking wonderfully; Lindsay Istace went through an Intro to Contortion, Kacie Knight led an exhilarating conscious dance session; Saskia led an intensive intro to belly dance; Marcus Fung facilitated one of the best experiences of my life – Laughter Yoga (pew pew); and Nicole Rose shared a spiritual lesson in Chakra Hooping. These amazing individuals changed my life and my flow skills in such a positive way… I wish everyone learning any flow art could participate, I highly recommend you attend if the chance ever arises!
Just finished up an Alberta adventure. Last Saturday I attended Act a Fool with my sister and a few friends – first concert I’ve ever been to with my sister! It was a typical rave, I wasn’t really in the mindset for that type of concert so I can’t comment much on the quality as I can’t remember one DJ I saw… Spent the next few days in Whitecourt catching up with Brandon, Travis, Alex, and of course the family. Overall a relaxing, fun time 🙂 Things picked up in Red Deer at the Taboo Sex Show – I hooped with Jodie, Amanda, Lindsey, and a couple other girls – managed not to hit anyone with my hoop though it definitely went flying fairly occasionally. That was a blast, I could definitely get used to getting paid for that kind of gig; should consider permanently joining a troupe. Drove back to Calgary to work at the Jube then made the drive to Erskine for Easter at Grandma’s. Skyped Sierra and fawned over Rae and Jae’s cuteness. Ate turkey, survived a turkey coma, stopped at 14 in Red Deer and caught a glimpse of the epic Survivor birthday party Soda was throwing. Made yet another drive back to Calgary and saw Kasabian perform at Mac Hall with Smillie. Wow, what I band. The crowd was die-hard in love with them, and for good reason. They were smooth and hypnotic, supremely entertaining and talented. Can’t wait to rock out to their CD. Worked the Shen Yun performance for the next to two days. Now that I’m mostly unemployed, just need to discover a decent way to earn a living!
Saw Kim Churchill and Daniel Wesley perform last night at The Gateway. What a fracking BRILLiant show! Second time seeing Kim, man does that guy pour his heart, soul and sweat into each an every song. Unbelievably talented, that level of multitasking is truly inspirational.
Daniel’s set was very interesting a well, groovy, controlled, melodic nuances.. just a truly well established, beautifully executed performance. I wasn’t sitting for a second, and those awesome voices are going to be singing songs in my head for the foreseeable future!
My intention for initiating this blog… Blimey that almost got off to a pretentious start! I have thoughts, and perhaps by releasing them into the interwebz some good will come of it. Here goes!
